Romanian festival to screen ‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’

Iran’s animated short film ‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’ is set to take part in the International TV Broadcasters and Independent Producers Festival “SIMFEST” in Romania.

The film will be screened in the 17th edition of SIMFEST next week.

‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’, directed by Mahdieh-Sadat Ahmadi-Soleimani, is about “a girl who is involved in the problems of her time and at the end she surrenders to the birds, which she have painted”, according to a synopsis for the film.

The film was named among the silver winners of the Best Short – Animation at the 3rd quarter of the 2020 Queen Palm International Film Festival in the US.

The SIMFEST is a TV festival – competition, “the only one of this kind in Romania and one of the few in Europe”, according to an online submission platform.

The upcoming edition of the festival will be held on September 14-20, 2020.
